Shay Beaty

Shay Beaty is a passionate vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, inspired by creating with others and sharing her love for music. Shay attended Berklee College of Music from 2022-2026, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Music in Songwriting with a minor in Recording and Production for Musicians. She was very grateful to receive a full ridePresidential Scholarship from Berklee for the duration of her time there.

Shay is dedicated to songwriting for film and TV (sync), and she has had the opportunity to be mentored closely by accredited songwriter/film composer/music supervisor, Christopher North (PBS, Hulu, Sundance Fellow). Upon founding Berklee’s Songwriting for Sync Club, Shay had the opportunity to work with others in this field, such as songwriter/composer Mike Sempert (HBO, ABC, Disney, Netflix). She continues to work with sync agencies today, including her current music publishing internship with PrimalHouse Music, as she builds her own discography.

Inspired by the heartfelt lyricism of artists like Sara Bareilles and powerhouse pop vocalists like Tori Kelly, Shay writes and sings to tell stories. She believes music is the most effective way to connect with others, and she is so excited to share this philosophy with her students.
